How are Neat bags green?
All our bags are made of 50% recycled material to reduce landfill waste, all our packaging is 100% recyclable, and our facility has some pretty neat eco-friendly technologies in place. Lots more info explaining earth-friendly practices on the green page.
Are these bags biodegradable?
Our line of Neat Bio Trash Bags are made with Bio Flex Technology which enhances the biodegradation of Neat Bio in a biologically active landfill (not available in all areas). ASTM D5511 tests that represent biologically active landfills on a representative Neat Bio bag have shown about 25% biodegradation in 365 days.
Does Neat test on animals?
No. The only species who could effectively test a trash bag (to our knowledge) are humans. 1300+ of them have rated us 5 stars on Amazon.
How bags work + bag info
How are the bags scent-free and still eliminate odor?
Instead of using a chemical fragrance to mask the icky trash smell, Neutralize+™ antimicrobial agents inhibit the growth of evil-smelling bacteria in your garbage. So there’s no artificial scent, and no odor.
How much trash can they hold?
A LOT. Neat bags are a generous fit, so they fill your entire garbage can. The tougher Harmonyx™ blend lets you stuff it brim-full without any rips. Old boots, salad containers, kitty litter, there’s even one experimental Amazon reviewer who hung it on the shower full of water for 2 days to see what would happen. (Spoiler alert: nothing did.)
How many bags will I get in a box?
Enough to last you forever or few enough to save you space ????. The 13 gallon bags come in 40 or 200 count varieties, while the 30 gallon bags come in 25 or 120 bag varieties.
What are the dimensions on these bags? And how thick are they?
The 30 gallon bags are 30” x 33” and 1.1 ml thick and the 13 gallon bags are 24” x 27.375” and 1.0 ml. (That’s thicker than the other guys so they don’t rip… even when you’re doing the cleaning-out-the-fridge thing, and they’re groaning with the weight.)
What else can I use Neat trash bags for, other than trash?
They make great garden waste holders or storage bags for bulky stuff like blankets (pro tip: flip them white side out, then write what’s inside with a marker). You can even use them for designing your own out-of-the-box (literally ???? ) clothes.
